Teen Inventor Catches Eye of MIT, Harvard

He's made a transistor radio, powered his area 's FM youth radio station with homemade batteries, and, most just recently, constructed a bigger studio generator -- all using materials he discovered in the trash. At the age of 16, Kelvin Doe, also referred to as DJ Focus, has been called a prodigy and a wizard. He's the most respected innovator in his West African village of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Doe is the youngest of five youngsters and says he's been devising devices because the age of 4. He collects scrap metal and other materials to develop electronic solutions for his town.
